It was supposedly fixed yesterday afternoon. I took Mom's borrowed truck back this morning to her, and she gave me a ride to the shop. And upon arrival, I find my car outside with the hood and trunk open and the rear seat cushion sticking out of the trunk. What the f..k gives?!?! I go inside and they tell me the new pump they installed was not working, and that they just got another in, and to come back in an hour. So we went to Wal-Mart and I got some new work boots which I needed. We went back and now they tell me that there is something else wrong, and it's not the fuel pump after all, something about the relay that operates it possibly. Now I get pissed. These guys are ASE certified and supposed to follow written procedures in service manuals. Even I know that you first check to see if there is electricity getting to the fuel pump before assuming it is bad. Now it's close to their closing time and they say they won't get a new relay in until Tuesday. So I ask, how am I supposed to get to work and such for the next few days? They hem and haw a bit, and finally give me the keys to this old Oldsmobile they use as a loaner. I tell them I do not expect to be charged for the use of the car as I was promised my own would be fixed by 4PM yesterday, and they agree. So now I get to play the waiting game again and see if the geniuses are as smart as I doubt they are. Yes, I'm a very pissed off vixen right now, and you know what that means.

You're absolutely right, power to the relay should have been cheked for prior to removing the pump. Especially since with an in-tank electric pump, because its so labor intensive to replace in comparison to a block mounted mechanical one. Sorry to hear its going so rough.

Sounds about what I went thru haveing atranny rebuilt. Was told two days.. Two weeks and multable checkup calls a day every day till they said stop calling it's fixed.. Come get it. Come to find out when I got it that all the shifter arms internaly they broke as they didn't have a disassembly manual for a nissan 5speed. They wanted me to apy for all of them, then I requested the used parts the charge went away along with half the labor cost. But it was still $900 odd bucks. Anyway, I'll get the pic i have off to you asap. Take care and hope things go alot better for you.

Dumbasses. Sounds like they need to be taught how to do their job.

I guess this would be the wrong time to make S and M jokes then?

*ducks*

*hugs* Damn it! Duncha love cars? Give me a Chilton's Manual and a year and I
can fix most things, otherwise I have to 'trust' the mechanics. *facepaws but
*tailkisses you*
