OMG, this has got to be the freakiest and scariest video I've ever watched. I have a fear of heights like you wouldn't believe. I was sitting in my truck while watching this, and yet, I was hanging on for dear life. There is NO FUCKING WAY IN HEAVEN OR HELL you would EVER get me to climb a tower like this.

WARNING, NOT for the squeamish at all.

EDIT: YouTube pulled the video, but it's still available at the following URL:

Not for a million dollars. Or ten million. I'm a radio tech, but I've always been afraid of heights. I freeze up at about 30 feet.

I know tower climbers and the heights just don't seem to bother them. Honestly, after you get above the point above where you reach terminal velocity if you fall, it really doesn't matter, because you're dead anyway. I don't know how people can even do this :P

I'm very acrophobic, but it wasn't that bad till he got to the very top and looked down revealing that he basically was standing on nothing! Then I freaked out and nearly lost my lunch both ways.

I didn't get to see the video before it was pulled, But I used to climb towers for work. The tallest I ever did was 500 feet. I loved to view! One of the hardest parts of the job for me was learning how to pace yourself on the way up, and the way down.
Today there is no way I could do it without getting some serious work outs first!

WOW ... that's not a video to click the "full screen" button on. I'm glad I didn't put it up on the projection screen.

There is absolutely no way I could do that without losing my balance D: That takes some kind of guts to be able to do that! But oh man, the view of the horizon is absolutely amazing from that high up.

nice view!
I could handle the climb in younger days but replacine a 10 ton radio antenna on the top?
Now THAT gets scary.
The tower can get upset and crumple up like a wet dishrag. Everyone gets killed.

=O.O=
