It's a New Year. Huzzah!

It's a new year. Thank Dog! Last year mostly sucked for me, as it seems to have for most of my friends. Now, don't get me wrong. I had a lot of good things happen last year, not the least of which was getting a new home at the end of the year, plus being able to show my female side at MFF and a few times since. Meeting many new furs, making new friends.... and finally getting a permanent job. So I did have good things. But I had bad things happen too, such as the failed relationship with Yotewah and my time in Tennessee.... I really felt out of sorts there like I have never done before. Now, nothing against my friends there... but there is no way I can ever live in Murfreesboro and be happy.
When I came back to Illinois in February, I had no home or job lined up. Kodiak helped with a temporary place to stay until I did find an apartment. For that I'm very grateful. And later on, he helped me out with some money when my job at Eakas ended unexpectedly. Again, I'm thankful for that, and I hope to have him repaid for that soon. It was probably a bad idea to ever share an apartment with him though. He's just not used to having other people live with him. Not his fault, and we made it through 4 months as roommates.... but I think he will be happier on his own again. I hope so, because I am very happy here living in Glen Ellyn now with Crim and Wyldekyttin. This feels like home already... and I hope to stay here as long as they will have me as their roommate.
Now, most of you know I work at Cougar Industries, making Industrial Vibrators. It's a decent job, but the pay is not the best... and now I'm driving 82 miles to get there each way. Ick! Double Ick!! I'm on the road for at least 3 hours a day right now... so I'm starting to actively look for a job closer to here. Hopefully I can find something soon. And another bad thing is because of the driving, it is taking more of my cash for gasoline, so for now, I'm having to postpone my TG therapy sessions, as I can't afford those, on top of rent and other expenses. Oh, I'm not giving up on my plans to live full time, but it will have to wait a bit, which in a way is not a bad thing. I surely do not want to rush into this without having all my bases covered. So, if nothing else, I can live as Susan on the weekends in the near future and after work.... and at cons and such of course. *grins*
I redesigned the Temp Music page of my webpage with some help from Robert King the other day, putting up clickable links to my music there. So, if anyone wants to see if there is anything new up now, here is the link.

I hope everyone has a good 2004. I hope to do so myself.
*hugs you all, her dear friends, and those who she is just getting to know*

Date: 2004-01-04 07:50 am (UTC)I'm hoping for the best of luck in 2004 myself. I'll be graduating later in the year and starting my own search for a full-time job and eventually a new place to live. Hopefully, it won't take me long to settle in a new area and get a job someplace and to start the next segment in my life.
See ya later! *hug*
