I FINALLY made it home from AC about 3 hours ago.... to find my ceiling had collapsed in one corner of my apartment.... because the stupid people who live upstairs cannot seem to figure out that a shower curtain is meant to be kept on the inside of the shower when in use.... you know... the water is supposed to go down the drain, NOT out on the floor and thusly into my ceiling. Luckily, nothing is ruined in here... and nothing important is under the damaged section and the resulting mess is on mothing important... just my bed. Sheesh! Just what I needed to deal with.

More to come. Overall, I had a great con trip... with just enough BS thrown in to make me loose my temper a couple of times.... and I had the roommates from hell situation with two of my roommates. The other two were angles and are more than welcome to room with me next year... cause as Arnold said.... "I'll Be Back!"

Details and pics to follow ASAP

Welcome back, Butter!

(Bigears gives a big hug!) Glad you had fun at the con. Is the landlord going to pay for repairs? At least it sounds mainly like an inconvienance more than a lot of stuff to replace. Still, there was better things to come home too.

Sorry to hear about the ceiling. I had that happen to me once, though fortunately it was only in the hallway between the bathroom and the bedroom. My neighbor was just old and forgot that she'd left the tub filling; she was actually a very pleasant neighbor aside from that one time, and called the office to tell them it was all her fault and not to charge my security deposit for it before I even got home.

I'm getting so used to zoo architecture, though, that I don't think I'll ever buy a place without floor drains in every room now. :-) Vacuum? Pshaw! I want to just hose the place out.

*huggles* Sorry to hear bout the roomies from hell, and the crud ya got back to see, but I hope you were able to enjoy the trip at least a little to make it worth your while. I saw you once, only reason I recognized you was cause you were in the fur at the time. Didn't get the chance to walk over and say hias, but I didn't think you'd want to talk to me anyways.

Kinda a short reply, but thought I'd say hias anyways. And yes, there will always be next year :).

*hugs* welcome back and sorry to hear about your ceiling!! We had something similar happen a few years ago but we were luckier than our neighbour above us, the roof was leaking and we just got a hole in our eiling above the tub, his wall blew out from the water pressure!!!! Luckily it was all covered by the insurance of the company owning the building!

*smiles* hope to catch you online sometime as I am now homebound for a few weeks and can actually be on at a decent time if I drag Mouse away from the comp =^-^=

Glad I had a chance to meet you and spend some time chatting with ya at AC! I was thrilled to help out with your Masquerade skit as well. It was fun! I watched a tape of the routine, and I sucked. I was afraid I was going to fall off the stage with all of us running around up there, so I ended up just kinda standing there. *shrugs* Hope to see you at another con in the future!
