The question I have here is where exactly would you look to get started. It seems that everyone these days wants those useless Windows certifications or 5+ years of previous work experience. 15 years ago you could more easily get away with being self-taught (20 years ago a fellow high-school student drop-out and ended up programming compilers in C and making $30k/year before I even got out of high school) but nowadays?
