Update about the stupid bank

Well, after going and talking to the idiot at the bank branch, it seems they sold off the freestanding banks and kept the ones that were located in WalMarts only. Since my account was opened at a WalMart branch, it is still under the same ownership. However, they now have a new name of Academy Bank, and a new routing number. A new debit card was sent to my home address also, and I now have it, but will have to order new checks.

The biggest issue I now have, is their attitude. Supposedly, this was all done because the owners want a new business model, and that is to only have bank branches at WalMarts. And now because of this, the closest one to my home, either at Angel's or at Spectra's, since I kind of live at both nowadays, is 7 or 8 miles away. The freestanding units are less than a mile away from each. So I am going to have to go open a new account at the freestanding bank, which while it now has the same name as before, is now owned by different people. And then wait for a debit card to show up and such.

What a fucking mess.
