A decision was made.
Nov. 6th, 2010 07:51 pmThis is the last MFF I will be attending. I don't even want to go this year but the others in my room are depending on me so I pretty much have to go.
Apparently, for reasons I do not totally understand, nor care to go into now because it will only cause more drama, the powers that be decided MFF needed to keep growing. It has now become far to expensive for me to attend.
I miss the days of $89 a night hotel rooms.
I guess the furry fandom has outgrown me. Or at least the mega-convention fandom.
You'll find me at IFC next year. And maybe RCFM or MFM. Otherwise, don't expect to see me at a con anymore.
And to those who felt my last two posts were petty or in bad taste, I'm sorry you feel that way. It's my LJ, I write here what I want. But aren't I entitled to my opinions as much as the next person? I'm sorry I'm not as well educated as some of you are, or don't speak as well as some of you do. And if I'm dumb or stupid for "not knowing that is how hotels work" as someone said to me someplace, so be it. I'll keep staying at Motel 6, thank you very much. Or just live in my truck, as that seems to be where I am 95% of the time anyway.
Must be nice to be able to go home every night. I sure wouldn't know about that anymore. Unless you consider my truck my home. I sure don't.
