Well, this is it. As of 8 PM tonight, I'm on my way to Tulsa, OK for orientation and training with Arrow Trucking. Should prove interesting, as I've never rode on Greyhound before. Hartree is taking me down to Effingham tonight to catch the bus there, instead of taking it out of Champaign, as if I did, I'd have a 5 1/2 hour layover in Effingham.... not my kind of fun. I am supposed to arrive in Tulsa around 7 AM tomorrow morning, so I'll have most of tomorrow to look about a bit.... though most likely I'll just stay at the hotel. Arrow is putting me up for the duration of orientation, and paying for the bus ticket, which is good. I'm a poor poor vixen.

Got all my stuff moved into Hartree's pad on Monday. The poor fox was tired, but was a trooper with helping me to move. Thanks! *huggles*

Tuesday morning was spent unpacking, and then a trip up to Glen Ellyn to finish the pattern work for Caramel. I'm glad that's pretty much wrapped up now. Standing for hours in one place is painful! Robert King is going to see if he can get the head done before AC... but I don't see any way at all that the whole suit will be done for MFM as was originally planned. Hopefully for MFF. *sighs*

Wednesday, I helped Robert move Candis's office... that was NOT fun, but I was willing to help him out. Got back here to Homer about 9 PM... driving in the wind was not the most fun. Also, I have a front wheel bearing going out on my car... shimmies badly at 70 MPH. Need to get that fixed sometime.

Thursday and Friday was spent unpacking stuff and getting ready to go to Tulsa. It's amazing how much stuff one can get into two duffle bags and a briefcase. Got the laptop I have borrowed from Linnaeus all set up the other day also, only to discover that the battery does not hold a charge at all. I guess I'll have to make sure to find places with 110 outlets and internet access in the truck stops to check email and LJ and whatnot. Luckily, most do now have access on site. So, I'll be able to stay in touch mostly. Hey Linnaeus.... I'll get a new battery sometime soon when I can afford it, ok?

Hartree and I were going to go to a large farm auction today over near Covington, IN, but with the rain, we just didn't feel like it. It would have been neat though... a 75 year accumulation of machinery, parts and general stuff.... my kind of sale! Oh well, there will always be more. Need to get some money saved up for antique machinery buys again... I do want to get back into that business.

Not sure what else to say. Working on the puppetry track for MFF.... anyone got any ideas? Let me know. Also, MFM is going to have a large puppetry track this year, so let myself or BJ Buttons know if you are interested. I'll be at AC too... DJing an 80's dance on Thursday and working in the dealer's room too.

Seeya on the road!
