Bummer of a day
Apr. 16th, 2003 06:26 pmWell, my computer troubles seem to be growing. I can't log in to do the radio show tonight for some reason... which sucks! Ash is trying to help me though. Thanks bud!
Had the interview at work today... and since I was up front with them about needing a few days off in July for Anthrocon, it was decided that to be fair to all, and in regards to company policy for new hires... I will remain in my current status as a temp worker until the week after AC. This is fine with me, because it means I will be able to finish the job I started in Parts Stores, and then once I go on permanent, be able to move to a new department without feeling like I left the job half done. Yes, I'll be working in a different department after going on permanent... either Assembly or Paint. I'd prefer Assembly personally. And, I'll be on either 2nd or 3rd shift... still trying to decide which might be better. I'll keep you informed.
Now, sad news time. Because of company policy... I cannot get time off for RCFM now. It's too close time wise now to make requests for time off. So this totally sucks! But, I did get the days off for AC at least... though now I feel bad and that I'm letting down the RCFM staff and attendees. And now this also means Yotewah will not have a ride down to Huntsville... I'm going to go ahead and pay for her room as I originally planned to do... maybe some kind fur could give her a ride from Murfreesboro for me? Please?
