I've been away for a couple of days, kind of unexpectedly. Many of you know I'm living with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
yotewah now, and things here are going great as far as our relationship is progressing. We seem closer each day. Anyway, she is staying at her sister's place this week, which is about 60 miles from Murfreesboro... I drove over Tuesday afternoon, planning on spending the afternoon and evening, then coming back here and then driving back on Wednesday for Xmas day with her and her sister's family. Well, I called her before going and she said her sister and brother-in-law were giving me a Xmas gift and paying for a hotel room for me for that night so I wouldn't have to drive in the dark and all.. which totally floored me! I was so grateful... it made my day like nothing else. So, I got to spend a lot more time with them all... and with her Dad yesterday, which turned out pretty good... even if he did call me a Yankee at one point... and got a laugh out of my reaction... so it seems he's starting to like me too. A good thing!
I did receive a few nice gifts from my fur friends also... a set of gaming dice which was needed, and some gift cards from two furs here, also a neat Animal Totem guide that I'm starting to read. Yotewah also got me some clear sleeves and cardboard backers for my furry comic collection, so I'm going to work on organizing and sorting them today. All in all, I was most happy, even though Xmas doesn't really mean that much to me, other than being able to be with friends and family, if at least in spirit. Who knows when I'll see my RL family again...they don't seem to want to come here, and I can't go there... but it's ok. My furry family is far more important to me now anyway... they don't judge me... as proven by all the responses to my last LJ post. I put that out to clear the air between myself and those who were affected.. and was overwhelmed by the responses. Things are on the mend, I think.
