What happened to me was I just got my life together the way _I_ wanted it, and then gave a friend permission to tell a friend of his about me, and bam- much demanding work ensued, but for a change I wasn't trying to be anything other or more than me, and the work turned more productive and useful than I've ever known it to be.
Yes, I guess I stopped looking. I also stopped trying to fit myself into imagined situations and ended up fitting someone into the situation I have now, in which I have a lot of time to myself.
I figure if that can happen to me, it must happen easier to normal people :)
